Bulgur wheat is a type of whole wheat that is made from durum wheat grain. Bulgur is low in fat; high in minerals like manganese, magnesium and iron; and it’s a good source of plant-based protein. Bulgur wheat also provides a very good dose of the dietary fibre you need for digestive and heart health. Use Bulgar wheat as a healthy alternative to rice in most rice recipes.
